Blog Entry: The earth quake that struck Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, resulted in almost total destruction. Untold numbers of people are reported injured, missing, trapped or dead. The quake was followed by dozens of aftershocks, officials said. People pulled bodies from collapsed homes, covering them with sheets by the side of the road. The devastation was so complete that it seemed likely the death toll from Tuesday afternoon's magnitude-7.0 quake would run into the thousands. Haitians are asking the world for help. Do what you can to help. There are Haitian community centers in different cities. There might be one in your city or near you. Donate clothes or any needed items you can afford to give or donate to a charity organization of your choice that will help Haiti.
